‘The Walking Dead’ Rise With New Season 4 Trailer at Comic-Con 2013

Warning*** I’ve put some of my Season 4 Predictions Not Spoilers (unless I’m right…lol) in this article.

October 13th is fast approaching and that means brand new episodes of AMC’s mega-hit series The Walking Dead. Maybe you’re wondering what TWD has to do with glam but this show is so good, it’s easily 10 years ahead of its time. If your reading this I’m guessing your a solid fan so you don’t need me to go into the drama that took place last season and the direction everyone was going. So lets dive into the explosive new Season 4 Trailer which just premiered at Comic-Con last week.

We see new members have joined the group including survivors from Woodbury along with Army Medic, Bob Stookey (Larry Gilliard Jrwhom I’m predicting as the one responsible for leaving food for the “lamebrains”. Everyone appears more stable at first but that quickly changes by the time it’s over.

My girl Michonne (Danai Gurira) is said to be stepping up her vendetta against “The Governor(David Morrissey) for what he did to Andrea at the end of Season 3. In one of the clips we see her scrolling over a map of Georgia and letting her finger fall on Macon for some reason? Prediction, he will not be the one accused of attacking the prison and will become a fan favorite (villian) by the time it’s over.

Rick (Andrew Lincoln) seems to have pulled himself back from the brink and has relinquished sole power of the group, which now resembles a panel of representatives that’ll guide the others.

Tyreese (Chad Coleman) and sister Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Greenrejoined the group but you see things don’t go so smooth in the highlights. My guess is Sasha gets murdered by the same person leaving meat-treats around the prison and that clip we see of Tyreese, is most likely him finding her, then going all out crazy while getting into a fight with Daryl and Rick as they try to calm him down. We don’t see her in the back seat of the car following the incident and he looks like he’s had a complete breakdown, hopping out of the car and going “Full Shane” on the Walkers.

Carl (Chandler Riggs) is quickly becoming one of my favorites and sometimes seems to understand the new world much better than the adults. I think he is going to become a major staple in the series as his character progresses.

In the romance department we see Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan) are still going strong; while Hershel (Scott Wilson) has become one of the most stable-minded leaders of the group.

I’m really glad to see Carol (Melissa Suzanne McBride) playing a bigger part this time, she is such an awesome actor and really seems to have gotten stronger in the new teaser.

I couldn’t forget one of my personal faves, Daryl, played by Norman Reedus. He’s looking totally Badass! Well, more so than usual. He seems to have taken on a prominent leadership role and definitely comes off more confident than ever before. I also heard he got a brand new, top of the line crossbow this season.

I can tell you based on several interviews given by creator Robert Kirkman, the biggest threat will come in the form of “Walker Herds”. In the comics they can grow to be thousands strong and can completely devastate an area in no time. This is also the reason why Rick says the best defense against threats dead or alive is having more people. I’m sure officer friendly is kicking himself for not picking up that hitchhiker in “Clear”.

My guess, they won’t end season four at the prison because they’ll be heading up north towards the “Safe Zone”. The voice on the radio was directing survivors towards there but you can bet it won’t be easy as pie!

Hope I gave you a great first look and possible direction for the new Season. It’s going to be so much fun covering this season and I will be keeping you up to date so please check back soon. I’d love your thoughts below and you can catch new episodes starting Sunday, October 13, 2013 on AMC.
